GUIDED VISIT – “WOMEN, ARTISTIC CAREERS” EXHIBITION
NMWA-Chile organized a guided visit to an exhibit featuring pieces by three fundamental visual artists: Roser Bru, Valentina Cruz, Teresa Gazitúa, Lea Kleiner, and Lise Moller.
The activity, conducted on Friday 28 June in the Patricia Ready Gallery, was aimed at providing members and stakeholders with a chance to walk through and form a deep connection with the works and languages of the renowned artists featured in the exhibition.
Thirteen visitors took part in this event, including Magdalena Krebs, Managing Director of the Mustakis Foundation; Alejandra Urrutia, first woman Director of the Municipal Theater of Santiago and member of the jury of Women to Listen to III, and Haydée Milos, Director of the Ralli Museum of Santiago, along with Drina Rendic and Teruca Martinez, Board Members of NMWA-Chile.
The visit was led by Constanza Sepúlveda, a guide from the Patricia Ready Gallery, and was capped with a camaraderie lunch, during which the attendees were able to continue discussing the exhibition and the artists featured in it.
We wish to thank the Patricia Ready Gallery for facilitating the organization of this event.
About the exhibition
The Main Hall of the Patricia Ready Gallery welcomes five women who have transcended the history of contemporary visual arts in Chile. Five celebrated artists who, using their own style and language in their pieces, narrate deep social and aesthetic reflections that characterize their time. Masters in the strict sense of the word, they have all taken part in the education of new artists. More than a mere exhibition, this is a homage that displays a large part of Chile’s art history, highlighting the value of these artists’ experience and drawing attention to their work –undoubtedly pioneering, a touchstone, a legacy.
Open to the public from June 6 to July 12, 2019
